"Location"
Placerville is in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. It used to be a quick stop along HWY 50 on the way up to South Lake Tahoe. Now, with it's many antique shops, art galleries and clothing stores, it is considered a nearby destination. I will go take some pictures and try to get a nice P'ville page going for any of you in the area...or those on the way to Tahoe (or for armchair travelers like me...I don't get out as often as I'd like). Although it does have it's own airport for small planes, Placerville is about and hour and 15 minutes from the Sacramento airport.
