Point Reyes Vineyard Inn
Great place in Point Reyes
This is a great place. The innkeepers, Steve and Sharon Doughty, are very knowledge about the history and sights of the local area. They identified appropriate biking and hiking routes for us, pointed out local birds and shared stories about the area. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Breakfast had great local pastries. You can drop next door to their tasting rooms. Good place.
Quiet California Inn
We stayed here two nights. We found the B&B hosts very nice. They seem very down to earth and not at all pretentious. They used to own the dairy that sits on the hill above the inn. We enjoyed the fresh cheeses and smoked salmon they had out in the morning. If we go back to the area we will stay here in a heartbeat. We were there whle it was raining and the frogs were croaking in force. It was a wonderful sound we don't often get to hear and didn't keep us up at all.
Unique Quality: They allowed a late check-in since we were arriving on a very late flight. There is a wine tasting room so if you like wine you can partake. We can't speak to the wines since neither me wife or I drink but we talked to some visitors to the winery and they said the wines were good.
