I cannot honestly recommend this hotel because of it's rude receptionist and also because the rooms are pretty small with the price that we paid.
We stayed here for three days just because we didn't have any other place to stay. All the hotels in town are booked because there was a convention and gay parade going on in San Diego.
The management decided to put their rate higher for the days were were there. We could have stayed at a different hotel but because of the hotels proximity to my sister-in-law's house, we stayed here.
The receptionist was very rude to other customers including a lady who was a few minutes late for breakfast. (Breakfast was included on the price). Also, the older white lady at the front desk had a fight with my brother-in-law as well.
The rooms were very dark and choice of the colors the hotel used was dark, too. The bathrooms are very small and not updated.
We moved out from the first room we had on our first night because we can hear people parking.
If you had no choice and ended up staying in this hotel, you might like to check in on the second floor because of the traffic of people downstairs.
The parking is at the back of the hotel and also at the front of the hotel.
Unique Quality: There is a swimming pool at the front of the hotel that was gated butwater was cold and the pool was filled with droppings from the flowers of a palm tree. There were also dead bees on the water.
There were chairs and tables to read but make sure to bring a tissue paper to clean it up!
There were towels provided which was great.
The Filipino attendant, who was the brother of the manager, was pleasant and nice.
The breakfast place was okay, nothing special. The only thing I liked there was the pancakes which you can make it yourself. But, the fruits they served like the apples were small and old. The eggs were okay. There were cereals, juice and coffee, too.
The tables were not clean. You have to clean it yourself.
Make sure to be on time during the breakfast hours because the receptionist will rudely turn off the lights. We were still eating and she turned off the lights when it was already 9 am. It was absolutely very rude of her!
A customer came in at about 10 am and she denied her of breakfast eventhough there were still a lot of food left. She could have just told the customer to get some food and eat them at their own respective rooms but she just rudely denied the lady. The lady customer came back and showed the pamphlet of the hotel showing the schedule of breakfast of the hotel and still, the receptionist did not honor what it said on the pamphlet.
