Not a problem

Like the last reviewer, after seeing so many bad reviews, I was definitely afraid that I had made a big big mistake - however - being in the hospitality business - I know that many travellers expect the world but not wanting to pay for it.
When checking in - (wish I had gotten his name now) had a great gentleman to check me in and give me information about the surrounding areas - very friendly (this was a busy time - Labor Day weekend) - stayed there 5 days.
I did not find: bedbugs, garbage in the parking lots, I was located on the 2nd floor - a floor above me and below me - and there was absolutely no noise - had a lot more noise staying in some of the luxury hotels in Vegas to be sure - room was clean, bathtub was clean, more than I would have expected with such low rates - everywhere else that weekend was 2 and a half to 3 times their rates - and had family stay elsewhere that had terrible expenses at $150 a night.
So all in all - a very good experience and I would come back again if the situation provided itself.
Okay, but some problems

The room was extremely noisy with road noise. I am so glad I had earplugs. Bed was not good. I felt the springs. Wasn't TERRIBLE but not great. Service staff at desk very nice and helpful. Extra towels were provided when requested.
Bad Service, OK Place to Stay

My brother in law recommended your hotel in Sacramento because he had stayed there on numerous occassions in the past. My family was there for the Drag races @ the Sacramento Raceway for a Sat night stay. We checked in late Saturday night and I could not believe the service that we received from the front desk staff. Not only were we disregarded but we were talked to like we were children. Upon check in we were asked for an I.D and I asked who's I.D, the person who originally booked the room or the one who would be actually staying in the room (since my brother in law reserved it for us)? I was rudely answered with "the one who booked the room...*loud sigh* and a roll of the eyes " then in the middle of helping us she answered the phone and left us standing there waiting on her to shuffle around and make another reservation for someone on the phone. Another girl came in and tried to figure out what was going on so that we could finish check in and get our room. The first girl took our credit card and processed it already but did not give the card back so when the next girl was trying to get us checked in she almost ran it again until we told her that it was already done. We then received 4 keys total because no one communicated with one another and we did not get any receipt of any kind because she said they do not give them out?? I find that hard to believe, the only receipt that we received was the copy of the credit card receipt. I think this is definitely something that should be looked into very carefully. As for the room, it was dirty and the sheets were wrinkled as if they were never changed and looked as if the beds were just remade after the previous customers left. I did not call or go to the front desk with this problem the night of check in due to the lack of customer service upon arrival. Other than that we had no problems withe water or sinks or anything major. I just feel that the office workers should be looked at more closely in the future, will I ever stay at your establishment again??? I think I would because of the convenience to the raceway and price, NOT because of the customer service.
Total dump

My first teaching job in Sacramento. This hotel was booked by HR lady on premise that it was close to the teaching site. I called the hotel night before and specially asked for a quiet, non-smoking room. When I walked into the room it was pretty much a shock - stale air with very pronounce old cigarette smell (room did have non-smoking sign). Everything looked like very old and very cheap motel (which it is). Flat, horrible mattress, uncomfortable pillows. Bedsheets were clean but appeared old and warn.
Street noise was loud regardless that room was as far from highway as possible (which is about 50 yards). I had to crash there since I arrived rather late and was tired. That was a mistake since at 2AM I woke up from the loud noise - man screaming from the top of his lungs seemingly fighting for his dear life.
In the morning I requested refund from the hotel (I was booked for 4 nights). After much arguing and calling Expedia and hotel manager I was told that I'll be only reimbursed for 2 nights. I was gone next morning to never look back.
This is a horrible, cheap and ugly place even for its price
Clean & quiet

I selected this motel for its promotional pricing & location. I found the staff very pleasant, & the room, while not fancy, was clean, & tended to daily. I'd definitely stay there again.
The best customer service I have aver had
by TripAdvisor Member Plamy
Hello! My name is Plamen Ramalchanov-here is my short story: Since Spetember,2008 I stay 1 per month for 2 or 3 days in this small, friendly and lovely hotel. Because of business I will travel and stay there twice every month for a couple of days. This nice hotel offers you everything that you need. Especially Front Desk agents ALWAYS go an extra mile to give you THE BEST hospitality service so you can enjoy your stay. Front Desk Agents do an outstanding job,but I do not wanna forget to mention that housekeeping service is awesome too. I Honestly I can call Good Nite Inn my second home. If anybody has any questions about this small paradise do not hesitate to contact me at Plamenramalchanov@yahoo.com. I will respond to everyone.

We stayed there just for a night. It would be acceptable for this but as noticed in one older review, they are probably copying credit card data as well as ID. Shortly after our stay, there were six illegal payments from my credit card. Total amount about 1000 USD (with other payments it stopped only on the card limit). All payments in Sacramento (we were not there more than for a day). I am nearly sure that there was no other chance to steal the data than in that hotel.
Great stop on our way to the Bay Area!

Looking for an economical stay in Sacramento, we found the GoodNite Inn t fill the bill. While the "e-travel" sites all charged for extra persons per room, booking directly through the hotel's web-site proved to have the best price. The staff greeted us upon our arrival and remembered me from a phone call two days previous! When needing assistance from housekeeping, the service was prompt and courteous. Will be staying here again this summer.
No Accomodations or specials for the lengthy stays!
by TripAdvisor Member GoodbyeGNI
* Not Very Professional
* Not apt to accomodate for special requests
* Bad experience with management (no compensations to customers for their screw
ups.)
* No point rewards system for specials
* Spent over $1,000.00 at this location and treated like CRAP!
* I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Best deal for the money by far

I have stayed here many times over the years and will do in the future. Best deal for the price and easy to freeway and downtown.

I live in Sac:
Rivercats game is always fun.
American River Raft Rentals - (916) 635-6400, easy route.
K st. mall is always busy
Miniature Golf-several locations
Cal Expo Waterworld USA-(916) 924-0556, always a blast for teens
Cal Expo State Fair - August
Da Big Kahuna - humongous burgers even teenage boys can't finish - 1128 8th street, near K st.
That should keep them busy for awhile
