Happy Customer
Stayed August 5th, 2011 night. It was a queen bed suite, had microwave, fridge, coffee maker. For the price of 55 dollars (including tax), this was a great deal. They even had 2 bottled water and two granola bars in a basket. If I have to complain about one thing, it was the bed...it was not great, but okay.
They had friendly staff. The breakfast was quite good. They had waffle, bread, English muffins, cereal, fruits, etc.
It was a great deal for the price. You cannot beat this.
I need suggestions of good restaurants that hold Mother's Day brunches.
Thank you in advance!

I would recommend the Firehouse restaurant in Old Sacramento.
Make sure you make a reservation. You can check out the menu on their website:

The Delta King in old Sacramento does a good brunch on any Sunday, plus the view is awsome. Again, no matter where you go make a reservation.

They might be booked or not your thing, but the Spirit of Sacramento is doing two Mother's Day champagne brunch cruises, one at 9:30 and one at 12:30.

It's so annoying when people answer questions and the original poster never comes back to check the answers.
A waste of my valuable time ..LOL

I checked the answers. I thought by saying 'Thank you in advance' I do not need to say thank you again after the answers come in. If that is not the case: I will thank the people that reply in the future.
Thanks!

It's always nice to know that the person came back to look at the answers to his/her question.
In your case, it would be even better if you told us where you went to brunch for Mother's day :-)

In the end we went to Fat's in Folsom because we decide to have a baptism lunch for my son over there next week, and we would like to sample more of their entrees :)
Travel Tips for Sacramento
Visit the Gold Country....
by shaman97
Visit the Gold Country. Sacramento is located in a rather flat area, being at the confluence of the Sacramento and American Rivers. These rivers start high up in the mountains, here the air is clean and the water is COLD. The Gold Country is part of the mountainous area, including Coloma, the original Gold Discovery site, Calaveras County (of Mark Twain's jumping frog fame) and places such as Columbia, and Angels Camp. Further down the road is Yosemite National Park. Do yourself a favor on Yosemite. Avoid the park during the summer (especially during weekends). See the park in the Spring (enormous waterfall shows or in Fall (lots of color for California) or Winter (you've got the place to yourself...and what a place it is with a snow cover. Not actually Sacramento, but traveling to Lake Tahoe and enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the crystal-clear water. The lake never freezes over in winter, and if you go there mid-week, you've got the place to yourself.
My relativity to the immediate areas- PF Chang
by josephljtwrk
Just one block up south are five or six Restaurants, Aioli, Creepville, Zacalo, Dragonfly and a coffeehouse called Java City. Two others are out of sight but not out of mind. To the west up 2 blocks stood two other restuarants PF Changs and Mikuni's. There are too many pubs around my apartment to describe. To the east just one block there is the Old Spagetti Factory and a asian restuarant with take out called the Blossom.
Great Patio Area
by daadah about Tower Cafe
It's got a great eccelectic atmosphere. If you happen to arrive at a not so busy time, you can sit your-self at any table (inside or outside) - don't forget to grab a menu from the table by the door. If you happen to arrive at a busy time (regular lunch, dinner and sunday brunch hours), then you'll need to make sure that you get your name one the list.
It's one of the few places I know where me and my friends can plunk myself down for HOURS without the staff wanting to rush us out. You can sit on the patio and order a beer and have a decent conversation with your mates or the people at the next table. Probably the Ravioli Florentine. mmmmmm. But Sometimes I go there just to have a dessert (great selection) or a beer.
The salads are huge and the bread is the best!
The menu is especially ecclectic you can find something to match your mood - Nicaraguan Black Bean Soup to Jamacian Jerked Chicken to a variety of burgers and sandwiches.
Fanny Ann's Saloon
by derats about Fanny Ann's Saloon
The first thing you'll notice as you walk through these hallowed saloon doors is the stuff -- not sure what else to call it -- hanging from the walls. But the cinematic memorabilia and quirky artifacts (rhino heads, mind you) only help Fanny Ann's maintain its legend in this town. Though mistakenly believed by many tourists to be a landmark from the Gold Rush, the saloon in fact is little more than 25 years old and was started by a couple of bored airline pilots who wanted to add their brand of zaniness to the OldSacramento scene. Such hijinks include the confusing door signs on the bathrooms, causing patrons of different genders to wander into the same restroom restroom (ah, the stories they tell....) This bar serves shots and beer to order and you can't lose during the many happy hours Fanny's hosts. But wait! There's more! This place also serves some of the juiciest hamburgers in town. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, there's $3.69 'Burger Madness!' And on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, DJS spin their magic for a mixed, dancin' crowd
Civil War Memorial Grove

The inscription says:
This Grove Of Trees: As saplings, transplanted from southern battlefields was dedicated to the memory of Union Veterans of the Civil War and presented to the State of California May 1, 1887 by the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic of California and Nevada.
