Loved this Inn
I stayed at this lovely Harvest Inn in June of 04. It was from a Thursday to a Monday morning check out. I had to go to a wedding on Saturday afternoon and this was one of the Inn's that was suggested due to the proximity of the Chapel and the Reception which was held on an estate along the Silverado Trail. The Rehearsal Dinner (which was awesome in itself) was at the Merryvale Vineyards/Cask Room. All in all I throughly enjoyed Napa Valley and this Inn. Let me tell you about my impression of this stunning Inn. I thought it was quite nice. I had a good size room with a couch, TV and a little room with a kitchenette/bar and a little refrigerator that was stacked with goodies and a basket of course on the counter filled with munchies and wine. The bed was SO comfortable. I thought that the bedspread was beautiful when I first saw it, but it's funny by the time I left on Monday I felt that the decor needed to be updated in the room a little! I felt that it was there for a long time and it could have used a little more pizzazz, you know what I mean! That's the only only thing I felt was wrong about the rooms here and I think it was because I was in it from a Thursday to a Monday AM. I didn't spend a LOT of time in it, BUT enough to know that it could use a good face lift! May be they did by now? It certainly sounds as if they're renovating and rehauling this Inn these days. Other than that, I absolutely LOVED this wonderfully large room for little ole me! Let me tell you, the staff couldn't have been ANY nicer, they were extremely helpful, friendly and couldn't have been any more accommodating. They bent over backwards for you to make sure you have everything and are comfortable, they were wonderful that way. I used the pool several times and it was GREAT and the people around it were SO friendly and from all over the country, we had some wonderful conversations and long talks, I thorougly enjoyed each and every one of these wonderful guests! In the mornings I had breakfast in there neat little building off near another part of the Inn that they had set up, it was one of the best breakfasts I had in Napa. They had everything you could think of for breakfast, it was great. I took a walk around their gorgeous grounds and saw their working vineyard in action as well as marveled at their stunning landscaping, it's out of this world to walk through this place, I can see why they have weddings here!
One late afternoon my cousins came from SF to see me and see this Inn and we went right to the lobby and there room right across from the lobby where their gorgeous oak bar was set up with their stunning mahogany baby grand piano. We were here for at least 2 hours taking pictures and talking to their staff and the people staying there, we enjoyed it immensely with our glasses of wine and appetizers set up at the bar! Thank you again for your time TA, I would definitely stay at this Harvest Inn again, anytime! The staff was very helpful suggesting which Hot Air Balloon ride to take early on that Sunday morning at the crack of dawn! I think this was the highlight of my trip out to Napa, staying at this lovely Inn and ballooning over those marvelous vineyards! It's SUCH a beautiful area of our great country we live in, we're SO blessed to have it at our fingertips.
