What to Pack
Hydration packs come in very handy. You can never have enough water. Also, bring 2 plastic bags. One for your wet clothes and the other for wet tissue. Wear your swimsuit under your hiking gear (for those not yet ready to bare it all as many do at Deep Creek) and pack a small towel for after your dip in the hot springs. Also, if you're hiking on a chilly day be sure to dress in layers. Wear good hiking shoes as the terrain can get tricky. A hat will help keep you out of the sun and warm when the temperature drops. Wipies are always nice and I can never go without SUNSCREEN! Don't forget your camera! Flashlights are really helpful especially if you leave the hot springs late. We hiked back in the dark which was cool but also a little scary (think I've seen too many horror movies).
Eat a hearty breakfast before you begin the trail and pack some hearty snacks as well. One burns a lot of calories on this hike!
