TOMMY"S!
by Shaft28
When passing through and feeling hunger, go to Tommy's diner. I remember eating there 4 times in 5 days and having a waitress that looked just like Winnie Cooper from the Wonder Years help us.
Friendly staff, but even better burgers.
Grab a shake, fries and a burger and you are all set to hit the beach. My buddy asking the waitress out, and she turned out to be 38. He was 18. She smiled and laughed. At him. It was beautiful.

Follow the Coastal Trail by the Bluffs
by cnango
There is a coastal trail which runs through San Clemente State Beach between the sandstone bluffs and the rail road tracks. This is a popular place for locals to jog or hike. In the distance is Cottons Point ,a surf spot in South San Clemente. On the cliff above the surf spot you can see the palm trees growing on what used to be the Cotton Family Estate. It later became Nixons Western White House. Now the most of the WWH grounds have been subdivided into a guard gated community called Cypress Cove. You can park your car at Califia Beach. Then jog or walk about 2 kim South to Cottons Point. You will be able to enjoy some pristine sandstone bluffs and coastline which is only accessed on foot.

Surfers Delight
by meeshelmybelle
San Clemente is a small beach town located at the very edge of Orange County. It is called the Spanish Village by the Sea but it is also known wordwide for one of its surfing spots called Trussels. It is a pretty quiet, laid back town, with a bit of the hippie vibe, mixed with a bit of money. San Clemente has great weather. The average temp. is around 70 degrees. It is a great place to go to the beach or to check out some cool old houses. THese houses are historic houses called Ole Hanson and are a spanish style.
