San Clemente State Beach Campground: Ocean Front Camping
I grew up camping at this place every summer. I love it. It is the easiest camping you could ever do. Summer at the beach.
Unique Quality: The campground is right on the bluffs overlooking the pacific ocean. It is an old school campground w/ room between campsites. Thick bushes and some trees separate camp sites. Each site has picnic tables, table shading and barbeques. Hot showers are coin operated so bring quarters. No grass, mostly dirt or sand. The campground is up on top of bluffs and is flat to get around the campground itself, but there is a bit of a walk down to the beach. A road just outside the campground leads down to the beach with metered parking at the beach. An option for those who can't make the trek on the trail.
