Great place to start a bike ride up PCH heading north or down through San Onofre to the South. If you head south you can ride all the way to San Diego through Camp Pendleton and at least 1/3 of this ride is pretty free of auto traffic.

The Best Burger in Town !
I love eating at Fat Burger in San Clemente ! This is a great hamburger joint with a fifties theme, including a working jukebox ! Not only is it the best burger in town, it has been voted Best Burger in Orange County by OC.Now. Thanks to owners Richard and Judy Brown, it is also one of the friendliest places to go. I like to sit at the counter so I can chat with the Browns & locals .
There are placks on the counter for special regulars, one is "Joe Retired FBI Agent " and the most famous 'Elvis" lol. I have chatted with Joe at the counter and he has some pretty interesting stories right out of the FBI Files ! But I am still waiting for an Elvis ; )
San Clemente
San Clemente is a beach side town on the suburbia coast of SoCal's Orange County. I have not really explored the area. I was only there for a short time to meet up with some VT friends for lunch prior to our San Juan Capistrano meet.
San Clemente, road to Mexico
Back in early college a bunch of us took a road trip to San Clemente and crashed at a "business inn". 8 people in a 1 fold down bed room.
Loved the town. Cool beaches and like the proximity to Tijuana.
Used fake ID's to get beer and pretty much went crazy for 5 days.
