Surrounded by wild sage and California oak and watched over by the stone sentinels perched on the surrounding ridges, Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino is a relaxing escape . The 1930s style ranch hotel is designed to capture the flavor of this Indian reservation's 1932 origins. designed by the same folks who did The Mirage, Paris, and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The 397-room hotel has nicely styled comfortable rooms. We were happy to have a coffee maker and a small fridge to use. Other amenities included shower caps, soaps, mouthwash, body lotion, etc. The wake-up call was right on time which is important to me.
They also have a day spa and a 24 hour work out room avaiable. The golf course looked very nice but we did not have a chance to go see it up close. The staff very curtious and helped make our stay a pleasant one.
The casino is very nicely laid out and there is actually room to walk around. Just a warning this is a dry Casino. They choose to not have liquor served on the floor. I can understand when you look at the long winding road to get up here. You can how ever have booze in your room if you choose so we just stocked the fridge. We liked the payouts that we were getting in the casino and they do offer soft drinks for those of you who need to wet your whistle. The restaraunts are very good in here also. Please be sure and check the website for driving directions. Not enough room below to write them in and be accurate.
