Breakfast was a hot meal and they offered dry cereals, instant hot cereals, fresh fruit and juice. Their coffee was good.
We felt very safe walking downtown from the Inn. It is only 6 blocks to Gaslamp Quarter.
It's also in a good location to catch the main road to Balboa Park. Balboa Park is very close also.
The Cabrillo Garden Inn has a balcony for the second floor. All along the balcony they have flowers in hanging baskets and pots. They also have a small table and two chairs outside each room on the balcony. Quite delightful. This place was very clean.
The rooms are small and they have limited TV channels. But, if you are enjoying San Diego you won't be in the room much during the day.
We got a rate of $89 on the Internet. We felt we got good value for the location and the amenities.
