A great hotel for all ages which even allows you to bring the family pet. We had five days at this hotel set out on a promenade between San Diego and the Pacific ocean and I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel is large consisting of the main Reception building, where the restaurants are housed and then five separate round buildings where the rooms are. These five buildings are all joined by a comunal walkway but if you are in the fifth building its a good 10min walk from Reception. Rooms are large with either Bay or garden views but most rooms can see the yachts moored all around the hotel. Theres valet parking..at a cost of course..but also self parking under the hotel. Breakfast was fab..buffet or a la carte and served on bright sunny terraces weather permiting
I just loved the views of San Diego city one side and the Pacific ocean and beach the other.

Front Of SunBurstCourtInn and Parking Area by Cruiseone2003, 4 more photos Ron Olsen and Matt Wall are resident owners the Sunburst Court Inn, San Diego’s newest gay friendly guest house catering to visitors from all walks of life.i.e. Not an exclusively gay property! “This is something we have always wanted to do” says Ron Olsen, who not only greets all guests when checking in, but ensures that all suites are cleaned and stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, bottled water, assorted snacks, and chocolate candy; canned soda, red and white wines are offered for a nominal fee. The Sunburst Inn offers three one-bedroom, five-room suites that sleep up to two persons each with a comfortable king-size bed, plenty of closet space, dresser drawer, and ceiling fan; the kitchen is complete with glasses, coffee cups, plates and utensils, coffee maker and refrigerator. Each suite has a small dining area complete with table and chair for two, the living room has a 20 inch color flat screen TV with free cable, 3-disc CD player, sofa, love seat and two telephones to make free local calls. The bathroom has a standard tub/shower and toilet with separate vanity and sink. Each suite’s décor is unique creating a homey feeling. I enjoyed my stay over the 4th of July weekend, I would definitely stay here again.
The Sunburst Court Inn is only a 15-minute drive from San Diego airport, the Amtrak rail station and the San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal. The property is secure with a coded gate to enter and offers free onsite parking. Maximum occupancy is two persons per suite, suites can be rented for one or more nights with no minimum stay, and all reservations must be made online through the Sunburst Inn website. The Sunburst Court Inn is Gay Friendly but all are welcome! Over the 2008 Christmas weekend I stayed here again, just wanted to say the Sunburst Court Inn is still a great place to stay! Small changes have taken place however, just light snacks (Pretzel chips) are offered, so no more soda and wine. Bottled water is still offered and coffee (I think tea is too). No cooking is allowed even though the stove is still in place and no microwaver either but San Diego is a great place to dine out and you can still have food delivered, just ask Matt or Ron for suggestions. The bed is VERY comfotable with hi thread count sheets. We had a great time there. It was funky, like an old Route 66 motel, but fun. Owners friendly. Great Mexican food right across the street. One block west of Denny's.
