The condo we stayed at was located at the Mermaid's Penthouse at 3969 Ocean Front Walk...It appeared safe however, after our second night here a man was stabbed beside our building. Then a homeless man was murdered nearby. Night after night separate groups of thugs would walk along the boardwalk stopping nearby our building yelling profanities all night. I called the police but they never seemed to catch up with them.
The condo itself was very cold because the owners forgot to turn the breakers on for the heat. The outside construction noise was very bothersome especially witha small child who takes naps in the afternoon. With the noise in the back and the glare in the front, the property is inhabitable in the afternoons until sunset. The six barstools that line the kitchen are big enough for a very small woman or child and most guests find them ridiculously uncomfortable. The property mangaemnet lists the property as having games - by this they mean poker chips and an old board game- not a video game or anything for children under 12.
The owners were not very consiencious and they will likely be hearing from my attorney because they never disclosed the noise situation and although they have a sign posted that says no outside noise and heavy traffic wil be tolerated, they refused to offer us any type of refund. Although the condo itself was lovely and the view was captivating we should have stuck with a hotel.
Unique Quality: The view in the morning and at sunset.
