by peihyee

Where can I get Universal Studio + San Diego Sea World Combo Ticket
I checked thru website that stated the Combo ticket $104 must buy online. However, my fren visited to Universal Studio, she bought the ticket form booth.

I will visit to San Diego Sea World by tomorrow. Should I get d ticket online first or i can buy in at San Diego Sea World booth?

Sea World is a great place to visit, with Shamu the killer whale.

Don't worry, you can get the ticket at the ticket booth at the park. Since you are going to be there tomorrow, you really don't have much choice. Go ahead and relax and enjoy yourself.

Since you are going to Los Angeles after San Diego, perhaps my Los Angeles/Hollywood/Beverly Hills page might be of some help. Check it out:

Travel Tips for San Diego

San Diego Zoo

by meteorologist1

A great experience at the San Diego Zoo. Never seen some animals in my whole life. Enjoyed everything from the elephants to the reptiles (snakes and lizards). Also enjoyed looking at the pandas. Had a fun time.

Visit the beach...

by Steveb

Visit the beach @Pacific,Mission Or Ocean. They are all
incredible. You can enjoy it here like no where else. The
people are so friendly.Hanelei Beach House is a truly
California surfer hangout and has great burgers. Watching the sun set@ Pacific Beach.Everyone rushes to get
their cameras to take a picture of the 'Green Flash'.We don't get that on the Gulf coast.

Balboa Park

by matcrazy1

What is Balboa Park? Is it a park?
It's much more than a park itself (I mean parks which I saw in Europe). It's a huge area northeast of San Diego downtown - a park with wide streets (boulevards) with 12 museums, various exhibitions, botanical gardens, Spanish/Mexican style architecture, art centers etc.

Margaritas and Chips

by TinKan

There is a very large Mexican influence in San Diego which is understandable as it was once part of Mexico and many of its inhabitants are of Mexican decent.

Many of the bars and clubs specialize in selling Mexican food with margaritas and chips and it is a bit of custom to have chips and salsa before your dinner. And what better to wash the chips down with than a nice blended margarita.

They take care of their Spanish-speaking citizens

by matcrazy1

There are a lot of Spanish-speaking citizens in San Diego area (Mexicans?) = they speak Spanish at their homes. It seems that sometimes they can't speak correctly in English (hmm... what does it mean correctly in the USA?).

I noticed that most ladies (cashiers) at supermarkets (maybe all) can speak Spanish and they really often speak Spanish with their consumers, the same at the gas stations.

They have a lot of newspapers, TV channels etc. in Spanish. Many explanations, for example on trolley ticket vending machines are in both languages: English and Spanish - oops, I just found the difference between the two machines from the previous tip.

Is it possible to live and work there without knowledge of English? I don't think so although... who knows?

From Linda:
Yes, it is possible to live here without speaking English, but finding a "good" paying job would be very difficult.
Thank you Linda.
