My Home Away from Home

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on September 28, 2012

This Travelodge in MISSION VALLEY is centrally located and as I frequently come into San Diego up from where we live in Mexico, it has become very comfortable to me as the people are always very friendly and helpful.

This last time we stayed, just a month ago, we used their "Fly/Drive" program. Normally, you pay a little extra to stay one night and be able to leave your car while you fly out to another destination. The parking is usually for 7 nights and then you pay extra if you stay longer. When we came back into town, our flight was late in the day, so we stayed again one night, so they didn't charge us any extra, altho we had left our car there for 13 nights. (We did not reserve the second night on that plan, so did not pay additional.) I thought that was very accommodating of them! Also, our car was in perfect condition upon return.

As with many Travelodges, the property has been operating for some time, so the rooms are not lavish, but are good size, the bathroom is small and a bit dated, but our shower is always good and with a little coffee pot in the room, a safe, refrigerator if you want, FREE WIFI, and the nice restaurants on site and a great location, I find it very comfortable, as the bedding is updated and nice and firm.

Unique Quality: They do have a pool, but we have never used it.

They have a nice dinner restaurant on site as well as a great breakfast restaurant, Adam's and Albie's.

I have never taken photos here, but the website noted has a full gallery.

DON'T EVER STAY THERE!

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on March 9, 2009

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY ROOM AND SERVICE. BATHROOM DOOR DOES NOT LOCK. SHOWER KNOB FOR HOT WATER MADE A TREMBLIN LOUD NOISE. LIGHT BETWEEN THE 2 BEDS DIDN'T WORK. I WALKED TO FRONT DESK AND ASKED TO GET PROBLEMS FIXED. ALL I WAS TOLD IS MAINTENENCE GUY LEFT HOME, SOMEONE HAS TO CALL HIM AND ASK WHERE EXTRA LIGHT BULBS ARE. NOT TO MENTION 2 OTHER GUEST IN FRONT OF ME WITH PROBLEMS IN THEIR ROOM.THAT IS JUST RIDICULOUS AND SO LOW CLASS FOR A TRAVELODGE THAT'S GRADE HIGHLY.
I WILL DEFINETLY HAVE OTHERS AWARE TO NEVER EVER STAY AT YOUR TRAVELODGE. I ALSO WANT SOME KIND OF COMPENSATION FOR MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
