San Francisco's Worst

While a quaint, charming old building, the Ansonia leaves much to be desired in the way of customer service. My experiences at this establishment have truly soured this visit to the great city of San Francisco, and I would recommend it to no one. Investigate lodgings in the area further before commiting to the Ansonia. There are superb values and many amenities closer to the theatre/business districts (which I did not know of prior to this visit). The rooms at the Ansonia are tiny and uncomfortable, and some of the front desk staff do not hestitate to show their hostility and contempt for the paying customer. I have relocated to a fine hotel around the corner from the Ansonia, and find the comparison of the establishments to be striking. The Ansonia offers a poor view, poor dollar value, and an unmatchable stress level. Do yourself a favor when visiting San Francisco, and do not stay at the Ansonia. It is truly an exciting city, and a visit should not be spoiled by your accomodations. I do feel that I was led astray by reviewing the Ansonia over the internet prior to my visit, and do not hestitate to recommend you do not stay here. My review is very negative, as I have stayed in fine establishments worldwide, and think this hotel would not qualify for a rating of one out of ten.
