Excellent location, best value for SF Wharf

Simple, clean hotel with excellent location for SF Wharf, Pier 39 or catching a cable car. Food and drug store across street. Excellent staff, free wine tasting in lobby at 5pm. Booked a return trip there the following week with similar experience. Highly recommended for moderate traveler.

Unique Quality: No view, older place but clean. 2 block walk to fishermans wharf, get the parking package when booking for $10 more a day for valet parking. Most hotels charge ~$40 a day for parking. do your research and check rates here...

Great place to stay

Great, central hotel in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Central to everything with a large supermarket within a block which was great to stock up on any essentials. No views from the windows (probably the only downside) but clean, nice rooms that were very comfortable and filled with everything you need. Would definitely stay here again. We didn't get any photos but there are heaps on the website and they are quite accurate.

Unique Quality: This hotel is pet friendly although we didn't see any evidence of dogs.

Nice location...terrible staff...

When we checked into the Hotel, we were given a 'double' room instead of the King we had booked for our romantic weekend. When confronted about the 'mistake' on their part we were told that we were wrong, until we showed the girl at the front desk our print off from Hotels.com. Instead of apologizing and correcting the issue, we were told that nothing could be done until the next day. Not even a smile was sent our way.

The Tuscan staff moved our packed luggage into the new room, and my husband and I discovered that both of our phone chargers were missing. When we approached the Manager about this, we were accused of not packing them to begin with. Finally, we were told that the Manager would run out and purchase our charges that day and overnight them to our home. None of this was done, and now we are forced to go and purchase them ourselves.

Nothing has been done to correct our issues while staying at the Tuscan. This experience has left a very poor taste in our mouths, and we will definitely never stay there again. I will also make it a point to never recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family that travel to San Francisco in the future. Which is a pity, because the location was great and we met two very nice front office staff out of the six we encountered.

Unique Quality: Nice location, easy to access BART...Pier 39...tour buses...trolley...shopping.

Noisiest place to stay

I am typing this in at 2:26 am. I did not choose to be awake at this time but due to a biker convention or something across the road driving their noisy choppers down the street I cannot sleep. Do not stay here if you cannot get a room that isn't next to the street.

Super location

We stayed in the European style hotel for four nights in early December while sightseeing in San Francisco. It is a nice and clean hotel. Some age is seen in the rooms, and I don't think there are any rooms with a real view. However, the staff was very pleasant, and it is in a great location. You can walk to everything in the Wharf area, including the ferries (I.E. to Alcatraz) and Pier 39. One of the local tour lines is also only blocks away. And, you're also only two blocks from the nearest Cable Car line. (Powell/Mason.) The rooms are small, but you'll probably spend so much time out and about, you won't mind.

For fisherman's wharf lover

A warm cozy european design for this boutique hotel, a few meter from fisherman's wharf. Really nice bedroom and beautiful bathroom. I have good breakfast from the room service. They have a valet parking, that i use only for left the hotel.

Unique Quality: Super location on fisherman's wharf.

Perfect Location

We recently spent several nights at the BW Tuscan Inn. For our needs, the location was perfect. Several minutes walk will bring you to the Wharf and the cable cars. We easily walked to the North beach area, felt very safe even in the evening. I inquired about an upgrade at check in and was told that they would, and did, upgrade us to a deluxe room. Very comfortable room..bed was great, bathroom and sitting area were wonderful. We had a package that we found on the BW site that included parking. Felt it was a good deal. I would not hesitate to return there. There was no pool or view to speak of..but most of the day time was spend out walking, so that was not an issue. I would recommend a courtyard room , if you want to open your windows, it is much quieter. Great place!

Unique Quality: Biscotti and coffee in the morning. wine reception in the evening. Down comforter, comfy bed.

Little Pearl in Fisherman's Wharf

"Boutique" hotel located a short walk form Pier 39/FWharf.
Far enough away from the noise and hustle bustle.

Very nice rooms, service, free wine/beer tasting in the afternoons early evenings and a good restaurant right next door, Cafe Pescatore.

Unique Quality: Location.

Priceline and Hotwire offer this place.
We got it 2x this year at less than $80.

As a Tour Guide, staying in hotels is second nature but the Tuscan Inn stands out as a fine property. More intimate, close personal attention from the staff and exceptionally clean rooms. In addition, it is location, location, location. Thanks for a great hotel!

TYhe Tuscan Inn is better that good. I find the location perfect for the Wharf area and the cable cars are nearby. There are several areas for partying with North Beach my favorite since I was in my twenties. Mission District area also has a great nightlife with all types of clubs and bars. Bars are where to look for party people.
