    We stayed here in April 2006 on a three day trip. The stay was a Marriott Rewards redemption so we didn't pay the usual $179 per night. The desk staff was helpful. We arrived a couple hours before check in the room wasn't ready, but they tagged our bags to store till we came back. The rooms were very large. Our room was on the fourth floor and we had no trouble with noise. All in all a great hotel in a great tourist location. A couple blocks from two cable car lines and a half block from the Embarcadero street car line. Hotel breakfast is extra, but there are numerous options with in a block of the hotel. Adjacent to the Anchorage shopping center. There is a liquor store, pizza shop, Hooters, In and Out, and many other businesses in the same block. Several ATMs just outside the door.

    Outstanding location. Parking only $15 per day with in and out privileges at the Anchorage parking garage. Hertz and Avis rental agencies in the building next door. Many dining options in all price ranges. Convenient to public transport. Close to the Cannery, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and ferry to Alcatraz
