I ended up searching for a hotel for my birthday. I ended up meeting my best friend in San Francisco and staying at the Fitzgerald. I had an amazing experience the Hotel was quaint with an extremely friendly staff. Their continental breakfast was spectacular. The Hotels location was perfect for sightseeing and allowed us easy access to utilize the public transportation system. The location is also a short walk to Union Square which is an amazing spectacle. The price was budget friendly and gave a unique boutique experience.
Unique Quality: Great location and friendly staff.
Directions: Union Square
First of all our room was completely tiny. There was barely 18" on either side of the bed. The bathroom had a funny smell emanating from it and the walls were paper thin. But worst of all, in the middle of the night found our room crawling with bed bugs. I had bites all over my arms legs and chest. Whats worse, the management didn't appear to care much at all. We had booked in for three nights but left after only one and they still had the nerve to try to charge us $50 for an early check out fee. This place is truely awful.
