What a great location

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on May 17, 2015

We had stayed at many Holiday Inns by now on our 14 day northwestern travel starting from Seattle. We'd used my husbands work rewards to get free nights and since we is diamond level they often kindly upgraded us to a great room.
The hotel is right on Fisherman's Wharf and we were able to walk to the great restaurants, Cable Car terminus and Pier 33, Ghirardelli chocolates yummmm ! The concierge was very helpful in providing information. A nice hotel with a great location. There is a 49 dollar fee for parking and it must be valet. Some grumble but this seems to be standard in big cities.
We took full advantage to the free breakfast .. and usually didn't have to buy lunch so that saved us a huge amount .. since the room was free and our room was comfortable quiet and we had a lovely couple of nights stay.
as with most cities .. driving and finding parking is an issue so we bought the pass for the public transportation and didn't drive unless we really needed to. We did take a drive to the famous sister houses and down the curviest street .. i think it's called Lombard on our way out of town. Loved riding the cable cars and shopping.
Great stay in San Fran .. and this hotel .. great trip .. heading home exhausted.

This is a great place to stay in terms of location. You can walk to fisher man’s wharf in particular pier 39 and the cable car is only a block away which means you have easy access to the downtown area and muni transport. The hotel has free Wi-Fi and a complimentary American breakfast. It is also very close to a large supermarket.

Hotel shuttle about $15 per person.

Great Stay

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 19, 2009

We stayed two nights in this hotel, we had booked a room with one bed, but when we arrived we received a free upgrade to a room with two queens. The room was big and had a nice bathroom. The breakfast was complimentary and consisted of hot items, cereals, breads, muffins and some fruit. The breakfast area was always busy, but they replaced everything very quickly so we never ran out of anything.
Definitely a good stay!

Unique Quality: Good location, right by Fisherman's Wharf.
