San Fransisco - San Remo hotel, North Beach - small , old building a pretty cheap! good enough location to all the sites, pretty close to Fishermans Wharf...and Subway!
Bishop - Town House Motel - basic dirt cheap motel!
Palm Springs - Budget Host Inn - cheap but clean and a nice pool!
LA - Best Western Ocean View,Santa monica - our room didnt have an ocean view so not so sure about the name of it but good location and big rooms!
Although i didnt stay in any hostels on this trip, i know that there are plenty of hostels in the cities and plenty around Hollywood and Venice Beach.
