    Wonderful Hotel. Hyatt is ONE of my favourite chains. Good location at Fishermans Wharf. Valet parking is standard. Large well appointed rooms with the features/facilities you would expect of a hotel of this standard.

  • The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf. $150-$175

    Actually, it's not that unique but the location is great. You can walk to Pier 39, the Wharf, the Bay, the ferries, NorthBeach, downtown, etc.. And, it's also a quick cab ride to the Marina and other fun places in SF. The hotel is old but clean and Room Service is not bad. Don't be surprised when you noticd that some low income housing is kitty-corner to the hotel! Just be careful.

  • I booked a stay in this hotel using Hotwire. If you haven't used hotwire, it's a bit of a change from other sites such as expedia. With hotwire, you book the hotel without actually knowing what hotel it is.. After you book, you're assigned a hotel based on occupancies in the local hotels at the time of booking. It's a bit strange, but somehow it's supposed to give you a better deal. The Hyatt is a relatively small hotel (they all seem sort of small in the area), about two blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. It was relatively expensive compared to hotels in Canada, but about the norm for hotels in the Bay Area. The room was clean and modern, and the staff was friendly. Parking is valet only, and was $36 per night US, which was a bit pricey in my mind.

    Basically an average hotel in a great location.
