    The Marine Memorial Club and Hotel was created in 1946 to honor the Marines who died in the Pacific Theater of WWII. The club is considered a Living Memorial with a series of displays in the lobby to commemorate the history of the USMC since its inception in 1775. The 11th floor of the hotel hosts the General Ames Library/Museum and the rest of the building is covered with autographed paintings, authentic artifacts, and plaques memorializing key events in Marine history. Besides the museum, the Marine Memorial Club is also a hotel! It has various rooms and suites starting around $250 for non-members, but only about $90 for club members. The hotel features a fitness center, pool, theater, and a few restaurants and lounges.
