Comfortable and good location

We stayed at the Days Inn for three nights, when we arrived we encountered the first problem - car parking. The car park is quite small and we had a large mini bus which was hard to park in an underground car park. Second problem arose when we went to book in there was one double bed for three people staying in the room so had to be moved which took a while to organise and there was decorating going on so wet paint signs were everywhere.

Once we had moved our room was comfortable and clean. Outside the hotel was a different story - right outside was a homeless kitchen and it wasn't pleasant to hang around for too long as there were some werid people, but go further afield into the centre and you will find San Fran to be a welcoming vibrant city.

Unique Quality: Not really any unique qualities.

Day-Use Accommodations

by akskibunny

We are coming into SFO on a red-eye, arriving around 6am. Our connecting flight is not until 9 or 10pm. Does anyone know of a hotel close to the airport that does "day-use" rooms for a fraction of the cost of a full nights stay? We'll just want to take a quick nap and a shower before boarding our next flight and would be out in plenty of time to clean and re-rent the room for the evening. Appreciate any leads!!

Unfortunately, the only day use hotels are those on an hourly basis and those are really seedy. Plus San Francisco Airport is about 13mi away from downtown SF. if you want the cheapest, clean place close to the airport, try Motel6 (www.motel6.com)
Motel 6 San Francisco Airport #4171
111 Mitchell Avenue
US 101/Bayshore Freeway at South Airport Boulevard
South San Francisco, CA, 94080
Phone: (650) 877-0770 | Fax: (650) 871-8377
Doesn't look like they have shuttle service so you might have to rent a cab.

This has nothing to do with your post but since you have a gorgeous Bengal(?) tiger for your photo I wanted to give you this link to some AMAZING pictures of a Bengal swimming underwater to get "treats".

Jumping- That's what we've been finding...super expensive or super seedy! Thanks for your suggestion.

Kathy- LOVE the pics! So cute...in a ferocious sort of way! Thanks for sharing!!

The La Quinta near the airport is a nice hotel with helpful staff. I have arrived there at all sorts of odd-ball times and they have always been accommodating. They have an airport shuttle. I would give them a call.
