Marriott San Jose
The San Jose Marriott is a great hotel in a prime location in the heart of downtown San Jose. This clean and modern hotel has 506 guest rooms on about 24 floors. Amenities include fitness center, outdoor pool, and internet access for about $13 each 24 hours, but for free you can access a good deal of information about local airports, recreation, restaurants, and things to do. On site you will find the Arcadia Restaurant and the Corner Market Kitchen with light breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. The attached parking garage charges $1 per 20 minutes or around $20 per day (but city lots around the hotel have much lower rates).
Rates are usually $150 to $200 a night, but we stayed on a Friday night on Labor Day Weekend for $70 including all taxes and fees thanks to Priceline. We had a nice room on the 20th floor with views to the eastern mountains over downtown and the university.
From the hotel it's an easy walk to the restaurants at San Pedro Square or the trendier clubs around San Jose State.
