Great location, decent price
I have been to San Jose five times, and this Ramada is where I always stay. The main reason is location. This is located in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to bars/restaurants as well as San Jose State University. Solid security as well, with a card swipe gate to protect cars. The rooms are basic, but clean. Their is an computer for internet in the lobby and a breakfast spread in the morning. The price is about average for this area, not budget but not expensive.

Good Value & Convenient
Due to it's location, the hotel is close to the Convention Center, Tech Museum, Technology Center of the Silicon Valley, Children's Discovery Museum, San Jose State University... and San José's finest restaurants are within easy reach of just 2 blocks. San José International Airport is only 5 minutes drive away. Public transportation is within easy reach too.
Staffs are friendly and the place is clean & comfortable. Facilities in the room include TV, coffee maker, telephone & data port...etc.
Guests also get free complimentary Continental breakfast with their stay. Breakfast served daily from 6am - 10am. There's quite a selection available... danish, waffles, toast, muffins, cereals, fresh fruits, a variety of hot & cold beverages... To me, breakfast is good here compared to just the simple donut or toast & beverages @ other places.
