When we first entered our room, we tried to turn on the light by the bed. It didn't work. I followed the cord and found that the bed had been rammed against the electrical outlet so that the plug was bent. The sheets were hanging just centimeters from the exposed metal. ( Further invertigation revealed that the non-flush outlets had originally been on either side of the bed, but when the bed was repositioned the outlets were left in place. So when the bed is pushed back against the wall, the first thing that it touches is the plug from the light )
On the other side of the room one of the outlets had fallen apart and bare wiring was left exposed.
