Great service and great food

You receive more than your moneys worth here. Great friendly service, clean rooms, fantastic food and a great bar. There is a pool table in the bar. Great view of the ocean which is across the street. Mini mart where you can purchase just about anything you need or forgot to bring on your trip. Clean swimming pool and a great sauna is available. Hotel is close to Hearst Castle. There is a number of books available to the readers and a public computer with internet access. We have stayed here about five different times and have not been disappointed. Some rooms are larger than others but they have always been clean and in good condition. San Simeon Lodge is a great place for you to stay and relax or enjoy the area.
Close to Cambria for shopping, Piedra Blanca Lighthouse/Station (great tour), Park and pier by Hearst Castle is great for hikes and picnic educational information available at the park also.

Nearly our last night

We bocked through www.travelhero.com for one night on our way down from San Francisco to LA to get the flight back home (yes good things finish soon!)

As we were driving along the big sur all day we arrived late at night and in the darkness we had lots of problems to find it as there was not many signs to the village (to fidn the village not the hotel as it was nearly the first one coming from SF)

The only problem is that once we left the luggage in the room, we had not time to have a shower or anything before eating as in 5 minutes they were closing the kitchen.

the good experience was the Roy Orbison & Elvis show while dinning :-) Just what we needed after the trip (ok I am a fan of both! LOL)

The room was very nice
