Gateway Inn!: Closer, But Not Nicer!
Haven't stayed in this one either. I picked it to show you because it looked decent for a budget place and it was located very close to the border.
Unique Quality: The name might suggest that this motel is connected to the new outlet mall Plaza of the Gateway to the Americas, but it is not connected, nor is it related in any sense. Guess the main thing is that it is probably less expensive to stay here and it is very close to the border. Also they offer parking, which is so dear in this area.
The San Diego Trolley runs right past this motel and the San Ysidro Station is half a block away. There is a Mc Donalds next door for those late night munchies.
