Has anyone ever been here?
I looked online and there is only one person on VT who lives here an nothing is writtne about it. I looked at the website and it looks beautiful. Can anyone give me an insiders perspective on it-if they have one? THANKS!

Main town supporting the agriculture, air force base and tourist industry worker bees in the region. A lot of suburbs and national chain stores. Closest Home Depot to San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and other "hip" (expensive) places to live.

I have only stopped for gas and food, so I am not sure about how it is to live there.

I wouldn't recommend going to Santa Maria - a little boring, and red-neckity, but it is a very pretty area (big Oaks, rolling hills). Paso Robles (a little south) has a cuter downtown area. However, I would highly recommend San Luis Obispo - great little college town with a cool downtown. The Central Coast area (North of Santa Barbara, and South of Monterrey in general) is very beautiful, and the drive on the 101 north from San Luis Obispo to San Francisco, past Monterrey and Carmel, is breathtaking!
