    For about $500 a night you can get a room with a view... Yes, you can actually gaze out at a sun-soaked beach, 24 hours a day, just by opening the shutters over the French doors leading to your own private beach patio right outside your hotel room. That's right, all day, all night, rain or shine, your view will be unhindered because the patio walls are painted with a trompe l'oeil beach scene!

    Uncomfortable, cold and windy. Very wet when the tide came in and it washed lots of sand into my sleeping bag. When I finally woke in the morning I was surprised to find a crowd stood around me and I was laying on the court of a beach volleyball competition.

    Wow, Giampiero told me to stay at this hotel on my next visit, and boy was he right! Mainly because it's next door to his home... the boy kept me up all night! Don't let him believe that he's hard at work. There's a constant party going on at his house, and the boom-boom-boom from the PA and his bombin' DJ kept all the guests at Shutters allllll nigggghhhhht long.

    • This place is the bomb. Very swank, beachy, elegant and extremely expensive unless you can get a cheap rate.

    The shutters restauratn lounge is a hot spot for LA swanksters and celebs

    Shutters is the place to stay in Santa Monica. Great Hotel located on the beach and close to all the Santa Monica attractions. Bed and Breakfast atmosphere with the resources of a hotel.

    • My stay was a virtual nightmare - never sleep on shutters on a beach! Mind those seagulls in the morning!
