Mirabelle Inn and Restaurant: Charming Bed and Breakfast
We had never been to Solvang so it was time to do so. Having seen a special for what I believe was a new and charming place in Solvang we decided to give it a try.
Our stay was in January, apparently a time when Solvang is not particularly crowded. We were the only people staying at the Mirabelle Inn on the first night and just one of three on the second night. The inn is very impressive from the street. An older appearing in done in the Danish architecture style that is so prevalent in Solvang.
When we did not like our room the owner indicated we could choose any room in the place. We decided on a large room with a king sized bed and hot tub. The room was very luxurious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise either from the street or from inside the inn.
The bathroom was clean and bright. The shower worked well and provided plenty of hot water.
We used the Wi-Fi which worked well and had no real issues.
There was a free breakfast in the morning. It is served in the parlor room which is very attractive (see first picture). It included a variety of cold and hot selections. If I recall I had eggs and a series of pastries. The juice was exceptionally good and the pastries were outstanding.
The owner was friendly and helpful. It should be pointed out that the owner did not remain in the inn at night. They returned in the morning to serve us breakfast.
A very large and attractive room. Great breakfast served in an attractive setting.

Worldmark by Wyndam in Solvang: Awesome Condos
About a years ago our timeshare made this new location and we hadnt been able to stay here til now. It is located almost in the center of town (just of to the side alittle bit.) It is not that big but it is very nice and cozy just like the town of Solvang.
There is one pool and one kiddie pool and two jacuzzis. There is a recreation room where you can play pool, fooze ball and arcade games or just lounge around.
I am not sure that anyone off the street can get a room here. You either have to be an owner with Worldmark or have a timeshare somewhere else and trade through RCI or II.

Motel 6 Buellton: Stay in Buellton
A simple tip for saving money over your stay in Solvang: don't stay in Solvang! It is really quaint and lovely, but very expensive, so if you're willing to pay for it, by all means do... I wasn't. Buellton is a very short drive from Solvang, and is about half the price. The Motel 6 right off the highway is totally acceptable. The manager is very friendly, the room I stayed in was clean and protected from noise, and everything was easy. You can park for free in Solvang, so why not save yourself some money on lodging and buy some really awesome wine instead?
There is a pool, I didn't use it. This is your basic Motel 6, don't expect the Ritz.
