Considering the A Victorian Garden Inn in Sonoma?

History and Great Wine - Hop Kiln by peggydaly
My wine-club membership at Hop Kiln outlasted them all. It's great wine at a reasonable price. I love to visit the winery, too. It's historical building (a very old hop kiln - hops as in beer) is a jewel and the setting is warm and lovely - as is the tasting room. Has goodies to buy for a picnic as well. Yes, it made me a little sad when Russian River icon Dr. Marty Griffin sold the place a few years ago. He is truly a remarkable man who worked to preserve the history and ecology of the russian river valley. But the new owners have done well, continuing to produce good wines and not over-commercializing. ...yet.
