We loved 7 Seas Inn!

We stayed at the Seven Seas Inn this past weekend and with a large group LOVED it! The owner and staff are the nicest people and made our stay so wonderful and personal. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We will make Seven Seas our home away from home in the future Tahoe trips :) Thank you Seven Seas Inn for an amazing stay!

7 Seas Inn!

I stayed at the 7 Seas this past weekend for a huge Cinco de Tahoe party and to see Sammy Hagar. Friends from all over the country met up at the 7 Seas and things could not have been better. Our room was nice, clean, and had a really romantic fireplace. The staff took care of us like we were royalty rather than a bunch of middle-aged partiers. Ha! Because of this, I will never stay anywhere else when I am in Tahoe, whether for family fun or party fun. Either way, they've got you covered!

SECOND TO NONE

THIS PLACE GETS FIVE STARS FROM ME..... I AM A MODERATOR FOR A SAMMY HAGAR FAN BASED GROUP CALLED UPFRONTFANATICS.COM. WE HAD ORGANIZED A PRE-PARTY TO BE HELD HERE WITH ALL OF OUR MEMBERS RENTING THE ENTIRE PLACE. CAROLYN, GRANT, TIM AND HANNAH WERE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! THEY LET US SHIP OUR BOXES WE NEEDED FOR THE PARTY TO THEM IN ADVANCE, BUILT A SMALL DECK FOR US, PURCHASED A ADDITIONAL GAS GRILL FOR US TO USE AND HAD THE GROUNDS LOOKING AMAZING PRIOR TO US ARRIVING. THEY TOLERATED OUR CRAZY BUNCH WITH ALL OF US HAVING A AMAZING TIME. I CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR EXTRA EFFORT. WE PLAN TO HOLD THIS SAME EVENT THERE FOR YEARS TO COME. 7 SEAS ROCKS!!!!

Seven Seas Inn at Tahoe

Rooms at the Seven Seas are about $60 USD per night when I was there in Aug of 2002. Prices may change by year and season so always check ahead. There are about 10 to 15 rooms available at the Seven Seas so a reservation is recommended. The rooms are small but feature comfortable beads, a sitting area with a table, microwave, refrigerator and in room bathroom with toilet and shower. You should be outside having fun so what more do you need?

Unique Quality: This hotel is tucked away, a few blocks down from the casinos on a street mostly filled with other motels and inns.

More about 7 Seas Inn

Location location location and very friendly owners!

by TripAdvisor Member mjpothie

We stayed here over the fourth of July and had a truly awesome time, thanks to the owners of the 7 Seas. It is located literally right around the corner from the Casinos and Heavenly Village, and is just a few blocks from the beach. Talk about location!

The rooms aren't luxury rooms, but they are perfectly fine if you just need a nice clean place to stay, at a good price, and in a prime location. The continental breakfast was also above average and was available until 11am, which is great for late-sleepers like me!

Overall, excellent value and location.

our new vacation home

by TripAdvisor Member monica&Nancy

This hotel is a little old, but very clean indeed.
The new owners were very friendly, treated us as if we were family. Loved the continental breakfast, loved the location, loved the owners, loved their dog, loved the hospitality
It was our first time in Lake Tahoe and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Worth the stay and price.
I garantee that you will not be dissapointed. This place will be my next home away from home.

you get what you pay for

by TripAdvisor Member TerrySF

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here, and won't do it again.

I was in town for the Lake Tahoe Marathon, and I requested a quiet room, knowing I'd need a little sleep before the event. I was put in a room in between people shouting at each other in Russian and a family of a couple dozen, based on the noise they created. I was woke up every 1/2 hour or so until everyone finally went to sleep. I had to get up at 6am for the race.

It's an old hotel - dirty floors/carpet, mattresses that are about 10 years past their prime, thread-bare bedding, and paper-thin walls. Yes, the spa was nice for aching muscles, but badly in need of a cleaning.

Other tripadvisor folks liked the friendly manager, but I didn't get that vibe at all. She was very gruff and called my husband & I crazy for running in the marathon.

Great Attentive Owner Hosts

by TripAdvisor Member MJRosenthal

The owners of this family and pet friendly motel, Kent and Carolyn, are great and gracious hosts. They even greet you with refreshments upon your arrival. If you have a well behaved pet then this is the premier place to stay with your pet. These folks make you feel so much at home you won't want to leave. They also provide excellent service with a well stocked continental breakfast bar. Lastly, this motel is walking distance to their private beach and to snow skiing several blocks away. Plan on having wonderful amd memorable time.

Great hosts

by TripAdvisor Member Turfite

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights in September and the nights were very cool. However the heating in the room was great and adjustable to our needs. Upon arrival we were treated to a drink by our host Kent which went down a treat after our journey from San Francisco.

Kent also provided a map of the area and indicated the good eating places. We loved Cabo Wabo in Harveys Casino so ate there both nights. The margaritas were fantastic.

The motel is a little outdated but very clean, and the hosts were great, even let me use the hotel computer to check in for onward flights. All in all a good place to stay and would not hesitate to re-book.

Really friendly

by TripAdvisor Member ICOS

The main reason I chose to stay here was because they allowed pets, but I was very happy with my decision. It may not look like much from the outside, but it is definitely one of those great finds
that I'd recommend to others.

The friendly people who run the place couldn't have been more accomodating. They even offered to watch our small dog so we could go out to dinner! The casinos, lake, and Heavenly gondola are all within easy walking distance from the inn. My room seemed a bit pricey, but it was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace is a nice touch as well. I'll be staying there again for sure.

Next to the Casinos and Heavenly

by TripAdvisor Member zbird7

Small, but cozy inn with jacuzzi, wireless internet, and short walk to the casinos, Heavenly gondola and lots of good resturants. Very close is a great Mexican taqueiria(tacos, etc.)--ask staff for directions.. Staff is friendly and informative. Rooms have small fridge and microwave. Nice choice of cold breakfasts, toasts, muffins, sweet bread and coffee, tea, etc.

For the price range (inexpensive): Excellent!

Suprisingly Good

by TripAdvisor Member wharris781

With all the cheap looking motels in the area I wasn't expecting much upon arrival but the 7 Seas definitely exceeded my expectations.

The location is extremely convenient (5 min. walk to the Heavenly gondola, even less than that to the major casinos) but it was the hospitality of the owners really put this place over the top. From inviting my party in for cocktails on more than one occassion, to providing discounted lift tickets, to offering me and my post skiing debilitated body a lift to my bus, the owners really went above and beyond the call of duty.

The rooms are comfortable, the location is great, and the service is beyond outstanding. I can't wait to go back.

A Great Stay All Around

by TripAdvisor Member Khaniferous

We were greeted with cocktails and conversation. It was a great relaxer after a 5 hour drive. To say the owners are pet friendly is an understatement. While we drank a glass of wine our dog got to play with the owner's dog which again was very welcome. Our first day, we went skiing and one of the owners was kind enough to walk and feed our dog. The breakfast is out nice and early, a big plus if you plan on hitting the slopes early. Also, they have discounted tickets to most of the mountains that saved us a couple bucks on the rather steeply priced lift tickets.

The rooms are well kept. The fireplaces are a nice touch and the year round hot tub is great for sore muscles. The amicable owners have definitely earned our loyalty and future business.
