Just Heavenly
by giampiero6
Heavenly is quite an amazing place to ski. While there's tons of great terrain up towards the summit and farther back in the bowls, the front side is superb. Cruising down the steep face with the lake, a blue gem below you is truly amazing! you'll have your choice of places to ski in the area and lots of people say they prefer the more off the beaten path spots, but I thought this was amazing!
Sushi in Minden ?!
by tahoesasha
If you drive into through South Lake Tahoe into Nevada on Highway 50 east, past the casinos, and down Spooner summit to Carson City, turn right and drive about 10 miles south into Carson Valley. Wasabi is located at 1799 Ironwood Drive in Minden, tel: 775-783-3210. This is the best sushi in Northern Nevada! I know that may not be saying much, on the surface, but it really is a hip place and the food is very memorable. Monday nights, our buddy Mario is behind the sushi bar, and he will knock your socks off! Let him improvise with crazy ingredients like oysters and seared scallops. Your gullet will be happily stuffed and they do have a full bar!
Good Resturant..
by Shihar about Cecil's Steak and Brew
This resturant is located in the Heavenly village. As I recall the food was good, however a little pricey than expected.
They serve steak,seafood,pasta,pizza,etc.
The atmosphere kinda felt like an upscale basement.
Coupon is available in the 'Sunny day guide' Mixed drinks. Pizza
Gambling

That's about all we did. The casinos are just like all the others...noisy, smoky and plagued with slow drink service! It's no coincidence that most casinos have slow service--the longer you wait for your free drink, the more money you spend!
Hiking Eagle Lake/Eagle Falls Trailhead
by newsphotogirl
This was a great hike. The trail starts at Eagle Falls Trailhead parking lot. The trail is clearly marked and not too difficult. After going a short ways you'll come to a footbridge overlooking the falls. Just pass the falls you'll come to an rocky clearing with views of Lake Tahoe in the distance. Continue on through the woods and you'll come to the lake. It's gorgeous. Very peaceful and crystal clear. The hike to the lake is about 2 miles roundtrip and should take about an 1 1/2-2 hours. There are also trails to Velma Lake and Dick's Lake which I believe are slightly more difficult.
