Considering the Lone Pine Lodge in South Lake Tahoe?

Don't limit yourself to South Lake. Not only will you go broke but it is pretty small. Try Tahoe City or Incline Village as you drive around the lake. These towns have alot of character, it would be a shame to miss out on these places by staying South. They are plenty of restaurants with stunning views of the lake, and yes more gambling on the Nevada side
