Winter fun is all around you
by jessicadf
It's easy to find a way to play in the snow. Here, while driving along in Tahoe, we saw a family turning a mound of snow in to a small sled-park. Don't have a sled? Use a boogie board! Sled, boogie board, hard-soled shoes...
Boat camp at Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe
by tahoesasha
Emerald Bay is the first or second biggest attraction at Lake Tahoe, and in the summer you can rent a motorboat or a sailboat and camp at the boat campground inside the Bay.
http://www.reserveamerica.com/jsp/commonpage.jsp?goto=/usa/ca/emer/newindex.html. Reservations are required and limited space means get on it early!!
As this site describes, Emerald Bay's surrounding attractions include the beach, walking/hiking trails, gorgeous views, Fannette Island and Vikingsholm, the luxurious restored former 1920s/1930s summer residence of Josephine Knight.
It would be easy to spend a whole week here.
Pizza done with care
by jumpingwithnorman about Lake Tahoe Pizza Company
This is an old-style South Lake Tahoe pizza joint that also has a salad bar & serves calzone & pasta. The kids' spaghetti & meatballs is pretty good along with the salads and the pizzas. Just be sure to read the menu carefully as some of their pizzas don't have the red pizza sauce on them. And trust me... you want the red pizza sauce on it. Also be sure you have time to wait as when they get busy, they get backed up! Spaghetti & meatballs, meatball calzone and any of their pizzas with the red pizza sauce. YUMMY!
Everything

Tahoe is a small community and it is possible to see almost everything in a day or two.
There is Water skiing in the summer and Snow skiing in the winter, not to mention the cozy evenings by the fire in the evenings.
Richardson Beach
by Nexus7
This is the beach where everybody sits out and bathes next to the Beacon Bar and Grill. But be careful, you have to pay to park. It sucks. The food is good and there is generally tropical music playing.
