Good skiing by hartmany
I've spent the past few winters at Whistler, so I guess I've been spoiled, and it may not be fair to compare the two sites.Tahoe is still an enjoyable ski resort with many skiing options (Alpine, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Squaw, Sugar Bowl etc) and a breathtaking view of the take from the runs. There is a good snowmaking system in place for when times call for it. New Year's weekend 05/06 was certainly NOT one of those times as 95% of Heavenly was closed due to snow storm winds.
