Considering the The Deerfield Lodge At Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe?

Lakeside Beach and Marina by newsphotogirl
A small, sandy beach. I believe the beach is private, just forresidents and guests of the hotels in the immediate area of Park Ave. We stayed at Avalon Lodge and received a beach pass during our stay. A sign at the entrance says that there is a daily fee of $5. I'm not sure how that works. If anyone can access the beach as long as they pay.
The beach was not too crowded while we were there. We rented beach chairs for $5 a day which I thought was a good deal. There is a tiny cafe on the beach and a small playground.
The water was freezing cold! There are a couple of platforms to swim out to if you can tolerate the cold. Also the sand was a little rough so you might want to bring some beach shoes.
