A lively goldrush town
Sutter Creek is a very well preserved gold rush town. Named after Johann Augustus Suter, the town has the Knight's Foundry, the only hydraulic powered foundry in the United States. It is registered as historic landmark.
The town is really pretty and I recommend to park your car and stroll around along the main street. If you have the time, take it to have a look at the Knight's Foundry as well as at the J. Monteverde General Store.

The typical architectural style of a goldrush town... I like it.
Seems that time has been standing, what gives a charming atmosphere.
