"T.O."
Locally referred to as "T.O.", Thousand Oaks is a bedroom community usually accessed by Highway 101, and, if you re traveling North, is the last city before the "grade", the large drop in elevation down into Camarillo and Oxnard. Thousand Oaks is a rather wealthy community, full of restaurants and great golf courses, ranches and other things you will not find in L.A. Many screen celebrities have relocated to the quiet community, especially near Newbury Park and that area of Thousand Oaks.
