Another great view of the beach! This is taken from the small lighthouse memorial! You can take a trail down from here to the beach...and wow what a beach! You can actually view sealions at about 100 yards away! very easy to find a private beach to spend the day!
Visit the lighthouse memorial...not because there is really anything at the memorial...but because the view is awe inspiring! Absolutely beautiful! It is a great place to sit and just take in the view! Or bring a sack lunch and enjoy!
There are so many wonderful beaches to visit here on the NorthCoast and trinidad and the area is full of wonderful hideaways! You can visit these beaces and there will be not another sole on the beach or within site! This photo is taken from a trail in the park! It is kind of hard to find...follow the breadcrumbs!
Get off the freeway just south of the Trinidad exit and drive along the narrow,windy back roads to see some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in northern California. Lots of beach access, but the signs are here for a reason and it can be dangerous going down.
The quiet little coves are great for throwing modesty to the wind and diving in!
Luffenholtz Beach, just a mile or two from Trinidad is a great place for sightseeing, swimming (on a warmer day than this was!) or just relaxing and enjoying the view. Do take along a wind breaker or sweatshirt cause the ocean air can be cool no matter the season. Watch your step on the way down..it can be a little treacherous!
