Alternate Options for Hotels Near Venice Calif.
Staying in Venice is fun but sometimes can be difficult as there are a limited number and range of accommodations there. Adjacent to Venice is the harborfront community of Marina del Rey, which has over 1,000 hotel rooms situated in six hotels. It is walking distance to Venice Pier, and therefore, very convenient to the area.
The hotels there range from small bed and breakfasts like the Foghorn Harbor Inn, independent small hotels like Marina del Rey and Marina International, the bigger Marina del Rey Marriott and the five-diamond Ritz-Carlton. But it does give you some options to look at. The tourism office in Marina del Rey can also give suggestions for visitors to the area. It is located at 4701 Admiralty Way, or email them at email@example.com
Most (not all) of the properties are located on the waterfront of the Marina, and most have great views of the boats and water. Restaurants are within walking distance, and you can also rent bicycles and skates there, too. Visitors can also rent power and sailboats and kayaks by the hour to sail around the harbor there, and several companies offer weekend dinner cruises, cocktail cruises and fishing trips. The community is also famous for big weekend buffet brunches in the larger restaurants.

Villa Stella: Peaceful
Villa Stell is on the island of Venezia, they call it the Lido, it is about 10mins by boat to the main island which you can see across the water. This small b/b( 12rooms) was once a family home and is still run by them, it has 3 floors, no lift but that wasnt a problem. On arriving Michela gave us a warm welcome, took our suitcases from us and carried them up to our room. It was done in traditional colours with a glass chandelier, and windows that overlooked the garden, there were fresh flowers in the room, and a mini bar that was cheaply priced. It has a bus stop( traffic on this island ) 2 mins away, we used it once, we walked the rest of the time, the island is only around 11 miles long and a couple of miles wide. It has bicycles that you can use, which people did do, they will arrange anything for you. Only breakfast is served here, which was plentifull, in the evening they are on hand to make you a hot drink, which i think is free? It does serve alcohol, but we used the mini bar.
Even though the hotel is on a a main road it is still peacfull, and also a 2 min walk will bring you to the beach which stretches for miles. I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel has no pool, or anyother kind of sports facilities, it is a lovely family home, that has a very nice relaxing garden, where you can take breakfast, and later just sit with a drink. It is on a road with many other nice villa style houses, but it has trees and plants around it, so it feels like its on its own, there is no noise from others.

Hostel's in Venice: Hostel's Galore
There are plenty of hostels in Venice. On Windward, just west of Pacific, the Share-Tel is located on top of St. Mark's jazz club. On Pacific and Windward another hostel is located on the west side of Pacific. Yet another hostel can be found at Brooks and Speedway.
