Nice place, great hot tub!
At first I was disappointed when we arrived. First looking at the B&B online gives you the impression of a quiet country side setting. However, the location is across from a school. The parking lot does not have enough parking for the number of rooms they have, especially when the staff take up at least two of the limited spots. Late arrivers or people going out to dinner have to find something on the street which is also limited given the residential setting.
The interior is wonderful. No real common area other than the dining area which has a fireplace and snacks. Breakfasts are included and on the average side but still very good.
The room is small but nice with a rustic brick wall and a comfortable bed. There is plenty of closet space with comfortable robs that come in handing when going to the hot tub. The done side is the bathroom which is barely large enough to bend over to pick something up if you drop something.
Unique Quality: The highlight of this stay was the hot tub. The hot tub is large and can fit 8 with seating. We went in every night to look up at the stars. Very nice and private. No one ever joined us. People would walk in to the patio are, see us and leave. Great!
More about Maison Fleurie
Loved Maison Fleurie
This is a delightful inn in the middle of Yountville in easy walking distance to many of the famous Yountville restaurants.. Nice accomodations, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, etc. NIce rooftop patio overlooking vineyards to enjoy the afternoon wine. We will plan to stay here again on our next visit to Yountville.
It was our first time to the Napa Valley & Yountville is the place to be! We loved the Maison Fleurie and will be back to enjoy it a second time around. They offer a great discont in the off months, which we took advantage of. It was so nice to get away and there weren't as many crowds as I assume there are during the warmer months. My only complaint would have to be about the sheets in our room- there were holes, very thin and scratchy. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and relaxing. We will be back!
A really neat place
We stayed 1 night at the Maison Fleurie in early March and really enjoyed it. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the cozy queen room, which was perfectly comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a bit small, but not uncomfortably so. We really liked the downstairs common areas. The fireplaces made everything seem really cozy. Our favorite part of our stay was eating the delicious breakfast downstairs by the fireplace and watching the hot air balloons go by across the street. I would definitely stay here again.
Charming and comfortable
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, convenient location, pleasant breakfast, what more could you ask for? My girlfriend and I found Masion Fleurie on the internet and were extremely happy with the choice. The location was perfect for visiting the wineries and close to several restaurants. Unfortunately we ate at Hurley's which should be avoided. The room was great with one mild complaint the bathroom was as cold as a meat locker. However, the jacuzzi tub and restful bed made up of the frozen posterior. The website does not do the rooms justice. The pictures on the website are rooms that are tacky and overdone but ours was simple and alluring. We will plan on frequenting Maison Fleurie everytime we are in the Napa Valley.
Pleasant and pretty
I found Maison Fleurie a romantic quaint and cozy inn in the center of relaxing Yountville. My room was spacious and well appointed with plush easy chairs, fine bed linens, gas fireplace, large bathroom with whirlpool bath. More comfortable than over-the-top. Service was low-key and unobtrusive. It was wintertime, but the gardens were still green and flowery, a great hottub was working and pool was open, albeit somewhat dirty. Hot breakfast had standard fare, but was freshly made and served in a bright french country style room. If you're here for the restaurants and antiquing, you can't beat the location. Walk to French Laundry, Bouchon is right behind the inn, other fine dining and shopping is just down the block. Rates were a steal in Jan--$225/ 2 nights, but I wouldn't pay more than $200/night. A pleasant place for that weekend getaway to Napa.
A definite favorite
Spent almost a week at Maison Fleurie and it just might be my favorite place I've ever stayed. The staff is incredibly helpful & good natured and the inn itself is fabulous. We switched rooms during our stay and both were really spacious and beautifully decorated.
One room was in the main building by the front door, but there was no noise to speak of and the room was fantastic and very convenient to the gorgeous dining room. This is very important because in addition to the fabulous breakfast, in the afternoon they have yummy snacks & wine and in the evening there's a jar of cookies. Plus they have (good) coffee and tea available all the time. You can grab a soda anytime you want from their well stocked fridge. There's turn-down service with chocolates every night.
They have a beautifu pool as well.
The place is incredibly convenient. A number of the best restaurants in Napa are in Yountville, all within walking distance. And it's a convenient location for visiting all of the Napa wineries.
There is a stuffed bear in every room and apparently one day while we were out, the bear in our room decided to read my book because when we got back it was holding it looking like it was just about to turn a page with his paw.
It's these kinds of personal touches plus the absolute beauty of the facility that make the place truly special.
Very, very pretty!!
We stayed at the here as part of our three week honeymoon in California for just one night and it is the perfect romantic getaway - I would liken it to a weekend in the lake district but without the terrible weather. The hotel is beautiful as is its setting. The price is justified by the location and it was the only place we stayed with a (very good) breakfast included.
I'm distracted just writing this, remembering sitting on the balcony drinking wine in the afternoon in the gorgeous sunshine and a breathtaking view on all sides. What more could you ask for on your honeymoon?
Fleurie a Treat
Stayed here in the green of late February, really enjoying this beautiful inn and the surrounding village. Staff is very personable , breakfast is outstanding. I was a bit disappointed with spots on the towels in the bathroom.... not dirty, just old. Our room off the downstairs living/dining area was off season very reasonable and really quiet. A lot of care and thought has been put into the design of this establishment. We especially enjoyed the walking tour map provided plus the easy access to #29 highway and restaurants, wineries, North and South. We found Pilar an excellent restaurant in downtown Napa.
Simply the Best
Spent the last two nights of a wine tasting trip in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys here. Stayed in 5 excellent properties (four of them in the Four Sisters Inns chain including MF) but this was the pick of the bunch. Delightful property in a wonderful little town. Fantastic dining, easy access to wineries by car, bike or bus and all the usual Four Sisters benefits of good breakfasts and afternoon wine and hor d'oeuvres. Not cheap but if you take advantage of the Winter Special rates during the week then it's an outstanding value. Booked in the light of the consistently good reviews, was not disappointed and look forward to going back - a gem!
a picturesque hotel
We stayed at this charming hotel the night before my wedding. The hotel is very cute, with lots of vines on the building, and a french country dining area with a view of vineyards. Our late check-in was no problem (they left the key taped to an outside door). We booked a cozy queen and it was very cozy - we had a lot of stuff with us for the wedding and we barely had any place to put it on the floor. By the time we got all the stuff into the room, we had problems opening and shutting both the main room door and the bathroom door!! However, we noticed that other rooms at the same price level (where other wedding guests stayed) were nicer and bigger. So, if I stayed here again, I would either book a more expensive room, or try and book one of the bigger cozy queens - e.g., #2. (we stayed in #5). The bigger queens also have the view of the vineyards! If you book a cozy queen, just tell them you want one of the front rooms (not one of the rooms made smaller by the staircase).
