Nice Quiet Motel
I didn't really plan to stay at this particular town, much less hotel. I was driving down the I-5 from Portland and got stuck behind a major wreck. That threw my timing off and I wandered into Yreka in Northern California in the wee hours. Everything was shut down, and this is the hotel on the first exit that still had lights on. Of course, I had to wake the people up to get a room. Felt bad. But, I was thankful, and they were friendly about it even the next moring!
Unique Quality: It was clean and comfortable and very quiet, so I slept well. Truthfully, the motel is an old building. That didn't mean they hadn't kept it clean. A family runs it now.
