I recently stayed at the Inn at Aspen during a summer wedding for two of our friends. The location was perfect - outside of Aspen, just a touch to the west - the hotel offered the beauty of the Aspen region without the hussle and bussle of the city everyday.
We'd reserved the room about six months in advance and the hotel was great with working with us to alter the dates at the last minute. Customer service was king at this location.
The ammenities were wonderful - from great in room coffee, and high speed internet with no glitches, to the marble bath counter tops and soft, fuzzy robes.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the region that doesn't want to stay directly in the city of Aspen, but wants to be closer than Snowmass. The Inn at Aspen was only five minutes from downtown.
If you feel like staying at the hotel they have a massage service, lounge, restaurant, and even a fitness center. It was very easy to feel pampered. The complimentary breakfast was great as well with a large selection of breads and fruits.
The hotel is located at the foot of Buttermilk Mountain - and provides a direct "ski in and out" location for winter fun. During the summer months, as we saw, several people were hiking up the mountain and biking down. The scenery from all the rooms facing west was amazing.
The outdoor pool had a wonderful view of the mountains and was great for relaxing in the summer evenings.
I want to mention the great service we got with the "pick up and delivery." The hotel offered to deliver us, free of charge, to and from any location in Aspen at any time of the day or night. It was a great way to relax and enjoy a few drinks at the wedding without having to worry about getting back to the hotel.
