June In Avon
We just got back from our stay at the Mountain Vista. We had a 2BR/2 Bath unit for 4 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The condo was clean, well stocked with towels and the kitchen had all you needed for fixing meals in if you decided to help cut cost instead of eating out. We were treated to waking up to snow on Wed. June 11th. It was a real thrill for us since we had left 90+ temps in Florida behind. My husband was the only one who had problems with the thin air, going from almost sea level to 11,000 feet kept him from being able to do much. We had to buy him a bottle of oxygen-to-go at Beaver Creek. It was the only place we found it, or we would have had to take him to the medical center. He didn't enjoy this trip but the rest of us did fine. My son and I went horse back riding at Beaver Creek. We did the 2 hr ride and we really enjoyed ourselves. We went to Vail Village and had lunch at the Red Lion, which was good and more than we could eat. The L&S railroad in Leadville was also well worth your money to ride in an open car to see the mountains. Even if you don't ski or go whitewater rafting, there is still a lot to do and see this time of year.

Sheraton Mountain Vista
Has any one stayed at the Sheraton Mountain Vista in Avon, Colorado? I am planning to trade a week of timeshare to go there the last week of May. What is the weather like that time of year and what kind of things are there to do in Avon? I have not been to the west except to Las Vegas so I know nothing of the area. I live in Florida so I understand we will have to drink alot of water due to the altitude. Thanks for any info you can give.
