Friendly Hostel

The hostel is comprised of rooms with bunk beds, as well as private rooms. Private rooms can be reserved in advance with a credit card, $42/night. The rooms are basic, and rather drabbed, with an old gray carpet running through out the building. Having said that, however, the place is clean, and the common bathrooms are tidy. The staff was very friendly, answered all my questions, made pertinent suggestions, and helped me out. There are also several boards with local information, some games, and tables in the common area. Wi-Fi is provided free throughout. The place is located only a few blocks from University Hill (called “the Hill” by locals), comprised of several fast food places, coffee houses, bars and restaurants that cater mostly to the students at the University of Colorado, located a few more blocks away, where you can have all you can eat at the student buffet style cafeteria, which costs only $11 with a credit card, no cash. The local bus stop is only a block away, that can take you to the downtown area, about a twenty-minute ride.

On a scale of five I would rate the hostel thus:
Rooms: Two stars
Cleanliness: Four stars
Friendliness & helpfulness: Five stars
Location: Four stars (Five if you prefer to be close to CU rather than downtown.)

Unique Quality: The staff was very helpful and friendly.
