Stay if you are looking for the best location
by A TripAdvisor Member
It goes without saying that the Village is the best place to stay when you are looking for location, location, location. You have main street in the front and the mountain in the back. It is so central to everything. My husband has been staying since he was a kid-I have stayed three times. We have been lucky that everytime we go-we get a better room each time. Units are independently owned so the condition of the room depends on how the owner has kept it up. Service is above average. Medical Center and Breckenridge Sports for rentals is located in the village. They have a game room which our 10 and 11 year olds enjoyed. Last trip was during New Years and the service was definitely hurting. A few employees however did really go the extra mile to try to help us out when we encountered a couple mishaps with our room-ie room key not working, room not ready, and having to change rooms. So if you are looking for a place to be pampered this is not the place for you. Mainstreet Station would probably be a better option. If your main reason to head to Break however it to enjoy the mountain than this is the place to be. Another note-beds not so comfy...Also for a family, the one bedrooms in the plaza are the best way to go. Nachos and Blue Moon beer at the Maggie are real good after a full day of skiing. Kids enjoyed the hot chocolate as well. Concierge at the Village can make all reservations for you before your stay.
Good Hotel, and can't beat the Location!

We stayed in the hotel room at The Village of Breckenridge for 4 nights. The staff was extremely nice and helpful (the manager even gave us his own coffee and filters since the hotel only had decaf in stock). We thought the beds were perfectly fine and slept soundly for 8-9 hours all nights but one. The one night is due to the thin walls and drunken skiers. The room is spacious and included a queen bed, pull out couch, mini fridge, coffeemaker, and TV/armoire. No microwave however. We had an end room which may have been for handicapped people based on the bathroom which was large but not enough shelf space. The shower had great water pressure, and was stocked with more towels than we ever needed.
The hotel hot tubs are indoors. There are 3 hot tubs clustered together that each seat 5 adults comfortably, and 6 uncomfortably. The hot tub temp is 104 degrees but can be cooled off by opening the door or window to the outside.
The location is ideal. You are a 2 minute walk from the bottom of the Falcon lift at Peak 9. And the hotel is a 2 minute walk to Main Street in Breckenridge where there are lots of dining and shopping options. The parking garage at the hotel fills up quickly, but you can drop your keys at the front desk and they will valet it for you for free in that case. Other than our drive to Copper Mountain 1 day, we never moved the car. If you plan on skiing Breck the whole time, you may want to consider using Colorado Mountain Express or some other service to take you to and from the Denver airport and forgo car rental.
Hated it!!

The Village at Breckenridge "Hotel" is by definition a Motel. A hotel has at least one restaurant inside the confines of it. The Village does not have a restaurant within it. One has to actually go out - into the freezing cold in winter - seeking for a place to have breakfast! Granted, the plaza that is surrounded by the hotel has average or below average places to eat, but are not in any way connected to the "Hotel". The rooms are not clean and attention is lacking. The towers are not interconnected to each other, so if you want to visit someone in a diferent tower you, again, have to go out of the tower to the street or plaza to get to the other tower. The attendants claim they are connected if you take into account the undergruond parking lot. Furniture and beds are old and missing parts. One can tell maintenance is not a priority in this joint. I will never stay there again.

"The mountain which made me to breath hard"
Breckenridge lies just a half an hour drive away from Frisco, where we stayed.
We did not see much of the village Breckenridge itself but we explored the ski-resort and this was also a big one.
This is the mountain who forced me almost to buy a oxygen-rucksack. It was our first down hill this morning and I couldn't ski down all the hill without stopping and breathing hard.
Okay, my friends were waiting for me!
The view down on Breckenridge
A very relaxing afternoon in the sun while meeting friends from Victoria Island, Canada
